Black Diamond Group Fire Boot Warranty Returns and Exchanges

1. Limited Product Warranty

1.1. Limited Warranty. Subject to the exclusions set forth below, Black Diamond Group, Inc. (“Black Diamond”) warrants to buyer that, for a period of three years from buyer’s purchase date, Black Diamond fire boots (the “Products”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship.

1.2. Disclaimer. EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH IN SECTION 1.1 ABOVE, BLACK DIAMOND MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING ANY (A) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY; (B) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (C) WARRANTY OF TITLE; OR (D) WARRANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY; WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE.

1.3. Exclusions.  Black Diamond makes no representations, warranties or covenants relating to, and is not responsible for, the following:

  • Problems resulting from damage by misuse, abuse, negligence or accident or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Black Diamond.
  • Product that has been repaired or altered by anyone other than Black Diamond approved personnel.
  • Product that has been improperly used or maintained or that has been subjected to abnormal conditions of use or maintenance not in conformity with Black Diamond's written instructions concerning use or maintenance.  This includes use of shoe polishes, cleaning solutions and other additives that may reduce and restrict the intent of the NFPA certified product.
  • Damage due to holes, burn marks, punctures, cuts, and abrasions from outside causes, misuse or abuse by the wearer.
  • Exposure to a substance or an environment that degrades the Products.
  • Normal wear (including sole wear) of the Products.

2. Product Returns.

2.1. Warranty Eligibility.  To qualify for the Product warranty, the Product must be purchased directly from Black Diamond or a Black Diamond authorized retailer. Because Black Diamond cannot control the quality of Products sold by unauthorized sellers, the warranty for Products purchased from such unauthorized sellers is void.  

2.2. Return Authorization.

  • If you are consumer who purchased the Product directly from Black Diamond or an authorized retailer processing a return on behalf of a consumer, please email our customer service team at customerservice@bdboots.com or call 1-800-459-5895 to request a Return Authorization Code and instructions.  If you are a consumer who purchased the Product from an authorized retailer, please contact your authorized retailer to initiate a warranty claim.
  • Before obtaining a Return Authorization Code and return instructions, requested warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt showing the date of purchase and a description of the claimed defect along with photos of the defect.
  • Upon receipt and approval of a return authorization request, Black Diamond will issue a Return Authorization Code and return instructions. Upon receipt of the returned Product, Black Diamond will inspect the Product to determine whether the defect is covered by the warranty.  If Black Diamond determines the warranty claim is valid, it will either replace the defective Products or issue a credit for the Product purchase price. A credit or replacement authorization can only be given by Black Diamond’s warranty department. Warranty decisions cannot be made by sales representatives.
  • If Black Diamond refuses to issue a Return Authorization Code on the basis that the Product does not qualify for the limited warranty remedies or there is otherwise a warranty dispute, the Product may be returned to Black Diamond for physical inspection at the authorized retailer’s or customer’s discretion and expense.  In such cases, upon receipt, Black Diamond will evaluate the returned Product to determine whether it is eligible for a warranty claim.

3. Miscellaneous. Use of any safety-toe (NMT, Alloy or Steel) or metatarsal-guard fire Products after sustaining an initial impact more than specified in the ASTM rating should not be used in any environment that requires a safety toe or metatarsal guard. Safety toe or metatarsal guard may be shattered or otherwise damaged because of such impact. Black Diamond Group does not intentionally add PFAS in the manufacturing of its Fire Boot Product Line.

4. Limitation of Liability. Under no circumstances will Black Diamond or any of its authorized retailers, or any affiliate of either of them be liable, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise (including based on negligence or strict liability), for any special, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind. Without limiting any other provision hereof, unless prohibited by law, the maximum liability for direct damages in respect of any Product shall not exceed the actual price paid to Black Diamond or the authorized retailer for the Product. Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the use of any Product complies with all applicable laws and regulations, and with any applicable product specifications and documentation.   

Black Diamond Group Protective Equipment Footwear Warranty Returns and Exchanges

Products sold at a discount of 30% or greater are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.
